        Tendo como referência o troço atualmente em construção da Estrada Regional 108, a designada «Via Rápida Câmara de Lobos — Estreito de Câmara de Lobos», adiante apenas VR, integralmente executada no Concelho de Câmara de Lobos, foi verificada a necessidade de ser executado um ramal rodoviário de acesso à VR através da Rua Alferes Manuel Joaquim Lopes. O Ramal de Acesso, intercetará a VR no sentido Estreito de Câmara de Lobos — Funchal. O Ramal de Acesso terá uma extensão aproximada de 186 metros. A empreitada inclui a canalização da linha de água adjacente ao acesso.
